1 Minute Stories: Jokester Chicken

Once upon a time, in a small village called Chuckleberry, there lived a chicken named Chuck. Chuck was an unusual chicken, he had an unusual talent of telling jokes. He was known throughout the village as the “Jokester chicken”.

One day, Chuck decided to enter the village’s annual talent show. The villagers were excited to see what Chuck had in store for them. When it was Chuck’s turn to perform, he walked onto the stage, stood in front of the microphone and said, “Why did the chicken cross the playground?”

The villagers were puzzled, “Why?” they asked.

Chuck replied, “To get to the other slide!”

The villagers were confused. They couldn’t understand why that was funny. Chuck tried telling more jokes, but they were all met with confused stares.

Feeling discouraged, Chuck left the stage. He went home and sat in the corner of his chicken coop feeling sad, he thought his days as a Jokester chicken were over. But little did he know, his joke had made it to the next village over and was a huge hit. Everyone started repeating it and asking for more. Chuck’s fame spread and soon enough people were coming from far and wide to hear him tell jokes.

Now Chuck is known as the world’s funniest chicken, with a sold-out comedy tour, multiple specials and he is the owner of a full grown town!
